Making Industry 4.0 real in Kaunas

DIGINNO Industry 4.0 conference under the motto "Making Industry 4.0 real" took place in Kaunas, Lithuania on 20th March 2019. With almost 400 participants, the practice-oriented conference offered 20 highly-professional presentations from international speakers coming from Germany, Estonia, Denmark, Latvia and other countries. The panel discussion of the day put the focus on the Baltic Sea Region (BSR), where one of the future key growth drivers are digitalization and Industry 4.0 related transformation of manufacturing. Estonians know how to be more resourceful

Three seminars with the topic „Industry Digitalisation and Funding Resource Efficiency“ were organized in Estonia to raise awareness of the industrial companies and encourage them to seek for options making their production process more effective. Seminars were held in Tartu, Pärnu and Tallinn, where practicioners from IT companies focused on solutions how digitalisation have helped them raising effectiveness. The biggest passenger carrier in the Baltic States, providing bus rides to 21 countries and more than 200 cities across Eastern and Western Europe, needed a solution to improve communication between buses and operators to synchronize ticket sales on the internet with a passenger list and location of the buses. Riga seminar: Cross-border e-services ownership and delivery

On 14 Feb 2019, DIGINNO WP4 Lead (Aalborg University Cph) together with Latvia’s Ministry of Environmental Protection & Regional Development organised a seminar in Riga on the topic of "Cross-border e-services ownership and delivery: How to make the services more efficient?". The aim was to identify and discuss challenges related to ownership and delivery aspects of cross-border e-services (G2B). The second story from the best practice series comes from Sweden. Lundqvist Trävaru in the very north of Sweden, have created possibilities for their customers to design their own building ideas, in their own pace, without any direct contact our support of a salesperson or engineer.
